The great performances of Mohamed Simakan this season at Strasbourg have not gone unnoticed in many clubs. According to the latest information from AS, 3 Spanish clubs and 2 Italian clubs are on the spot and the least we can say is that it will be very complicated to keep the player for the Racing club of Strasbourg.
Several big clubs at once
Since the start of the season, Mohamed Simakan has played 19 Ligue 1 games, establishing himself as a versatile player in the defense of Racing Club de Strasbourg. Indeed, he can play both as a side and as a central defender.
Extended last December by the Alsatian club until 2023, the young player could still leave Alsace this summer. To believe the information from RMC, cross-checked with that of AS, Betis, Seville and Valencia, were interested in the situation of one of the revelations of the season in League 1.
But that’s not all, Mohamed Simakan also interests other great teams like in Italy: Rome and Milan. Besides, lteam has already sent an offer of 20 million euros to Strasbourg, a reasonable figure according to what the Alsatian team requests. Tottenham, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Dortmund, Everton and Southampton are also cited as interested clubs.
It will therefore be very difficult for the Racing Club de Strasbourg to compete with these big teams to keep the Alsatian nugget.
Mohamed Simakan prefers Germany?
If it will be difficult, say even almost impossible to resist the sirens of the big clubs, according to RMC, the player would have a championship preference.
Indeed, the defender would prefer, in the event of departure, to sign in the Bundesliga. A transfer which could be concluded around 20 million euros. A very nice sum for a player who has only a small season of Ligue 1 in his legs. The media from across the Rhine (Sky Germany) even reports that Borussia Dortmund “deposited a specific interest” around the player and that the recruiters had to take a tour in Alsace during the meeting between Strasbourg and Paris Saint-Germain (match canceled finally).
As a reminder, Mohamed Simakan comes from the training center of Olympique de Marseille (2010-2015) and that the hatching of the pure Marseillais was delayed because of injuries. In 2017, he joined the RCS for an intern contract, before signing a professional contract in 2018. So, Will the Strasbourg defender continue his adventure at the Racing Club of Strasbourg this summer? One thing is certain, it will be the big soap of the summer for the followers of the Alsatian club.
