It is still too early to assess the precise impact of COVID-19 on football clubs and its consequences on the transfer market, but for sure, the values will go down. Moreover, the benchmark platform Transfermarkt has decreased all its estimates, up to 20% depending on the profiles. It is to her that we owe the values below, of the most expensive player, for each Ligue 1 club. It was us, then, who measured the ratio of what this player is worth, over his entire collective.
Aït Nouri (SCO), Mbappé (PSG) and Camavinga (Rennes) weigh on their team
It is raised to almost a quarter for three “phenomena” with diverse backgrounds and profiles: the Angers winger, Rayan Aït Nouri, the axial environment from Stade Rennais, Eduardo Camavinga and the world champion striker at PSG, Kylian Mbappé. The latter is also the most expensive player in his club and more generally in the French Ligue 1 championship, with an estimate now of 180 million euros. Decreasing, for the reasons explained above.
The lowest proportion in Girondins, ASSE and Nîmes
Conversely, the proportion is the lowest at the Girondins de Bordeaux with Rémi Oudin, ASSE and Denis Bouanga or the Nîmes Olympique and its captain Anthony Briancon. The central defender is the player estimated to be the cheapest on the list below and also the one who is worth the lowest share (7%) of the total valuation of his workforce.
Ikoné more expensive than Osimhen at LOSC. Thauvin is the most bankable in OM
Finally, for other notable elements, FC Nantes has two players (Abdoulaye Touré and Ludovic Blas) who have the same valuation, at eight million euros. Transfermarkt values Jonathan Ikoné if not more dearly at LOSC, than Victor Osimhen, it is true suddenly discovered, in France. As well asat OM, it’s Florian Thauvin the most bankable player, although he only played two small streaks of games over the season because he was injured. The Marseille winger is estimated at 30 million euros.
